Wisbech Lions

Wisbech Lions

Wisbech Lions ran two competitions during lockdown to give younger people something to concentrate on,  “Scarecrow” and “what I would paint on a rock”.

The winners were sent vouchers for The Works, which will give them plenty of opportunity to get some more arts materials for future fun activities!

Here’s some of the amazing work they received from children in the area. Which is your favourite?

*** STOP PRESS! ***

For those of you like us here at the Arts Trail, who know how fantastic our Wisbech Lions Santa is, you’ll be pleased to know he’s busy getting ready for us as usual!

Here’s some more information for you, hot off the press!

The Wisbech Lions will be having Christmas cards printed with Santa on, to sell them as they are, or as a personal greetings card from Santa!

They also plan to offer parents / guardians the chance to get a personal Santa message on video for their children – for a donation.

They are also able to run Zoom sessions with Santa, if you’d like to speak with him directly, and great news, they are planning to continue with the sleigh runs and static positions, subject to Covid restrictions.

Get in touch via their Facebook page (@WisbechLions) and tell them we sent you!

We’ve also received a beautiful piece of art created by Andrea Taylor, a member of Wisbech Art Club, who reated this for the twinning of Wisbech Lions with Rye Lions in Victoria, Australia. We have a photo of it below, hopefully in the physical Arts Trail next year we’ll be able to see it in real life!
